Melanie Rankow Prescott, REALTOR®

Melanie Rankow Prescott was born and raised on Martha’s Vineyard, all of which she spent growing up in Katama and riding her bike into Edgartown. After graduating from Quinnipiac University with her BS in Business Management & Entrepreneurship, she returned to the Island full time to work in the family business, luxury custom home builder Colonial Reproductions. She remains the head of Client Relations working directly with her clients and their decorators to aid in all aspects of the building selection process, while also working in real estate. Her construction knowledge is an invaluable resource for her clients and a huge benefit to the O'hanlon Group team. 

Melanie has been active in the Edgartown Board of Trade as a committee member for multiple events. In addition, she was elected as a Board of Director and sat as the Treasurer for three years.

She is now a Trustee and Vice-President of the Island Grove Residents Association, where she and her husband Nick live with their two children. Jen O'Hanlon was their agent when they purchased their Edgartown home seven years ago!

Mel enjoys giving back to the community by sponsoring a child at Christmas through The Red Stocking Fund;  donating to the MV Boys & Girls Club, Island Food Pantry, Island Housing Trust, Felix Neck Wildlife Sanctuary and multiple other island charities close to her heart. When she is not working, you can find her outside with her family, enjoying weather of any kind,  there is no such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing!
